To support the teachers and schools providing formal education for children in Karachi. With schools having now re-opened in Karachi in a hybrid mode with a mix of online and limited in-person classes, it is a great opportunity to make all the teachers aware of Digital Security practices for themselves, for the children and their parents, as well as using technology for education and digital literacy.
For the #ISACACommunITyDay 2021, ISACA Karachi Chapter has committed to support these schools and teachers with orientation and training on “Digital Security for Teachers“, as requested, in order to effectively conduct online classes. The following topics will be covered:
- How the “New Normal” has evolved, and dealing with this changed way of life and work enforced by the Pandemic
- Digital Literacy, and effective use of digital media
- Existing cyber threats and cyber security tips for teachers and children
- Guidelines on safe practices for using Internet, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.
Printable copies of the guidelines (Dos & Don’ts) will be provided to the teachers to be shared with the students and their parents. This is expected to be the launch of a series of supportive sessions and workshops for the teachers and schools who have various needs for continuing awareness in
