Due to recent devastating rains in Pakistan’s Sindh province, the low-lying areas have experienced widespread flooding with loss of homes and lives. Thousands of people were rescued and are still housed in tents. Some of the villages in depressed areas still have standing water. Mosquito infestations have made life miserable, and there is the dire need for mosquito nets for the people living in tents.
As part of the ISACA CommunITy Day, ISACA Karachi Chapter has committed to support the people in one of these remote locations by providing them with 100 mosquito nets. Due to Covid19 and remote location, Karachi Chapter is coordinating with local volunteers to ensure these nets are delivered to the affected people.
